hmmmm gastos.. -_- and basically i want to know a lot more details first before i could say I'm in.
food is important - but basically it can be resolved by eating there. it IS a city after all so fast foods are everywhere.
lodging - i know this is an invite from Liam. correct me if I'm wrong he's from palawan right? does he have any relatives there that would mean we can stay there for that two days. I am not sleeping in a park where the temperature is below 15 degrees.
give me a rough estimate of the cost and i might reconsider..
base on a previous Baguio trip before it was 300+ bus ticket one way.. which is a few years back.. consider the $100 per barrel fuel then the petroleum hikes. 200 - 300 % price hike *_*
then calculate the decomposition of mountain roads through soil erosion. potential danger. possible painful and gruesome death..
only thing i see good is the cheap and super fresh vegetables you can see everywhere. they are cheap.. thats what i assumed..
then the potential shopping due to thousands of souvenir outlets and ukay-ukay shops in Baguio.. that wont be too much of a problem but still i want to emphasize the possibility.
i may come.. I'm not closing the door for it.. i wouldn't have typed that much on my 'free' time if I'm just messing with you..
details need clarification: 1. FOOD - where are we gonna eat. 2. LODGING - Baguio is a tourist hot spot and rentals are expensive(AU atomic number 79). 3. the first two will be answered by this one. BUDGET per PERSON. very important. planning is really important. i appreciate you effort in planning a get together. specify the details of your plans too if ever... 4. I may be messing with you due to a friendster comment or am I? oh well..

(looks at Leo staring at Keen with Knife in his hand)... oh... yeah... i think imma go now..... Anyway, Leo is right. That sort of occured to me too. Where in baguio would we be staying during the whole festival?

to keen: as per the list you gave answers that from a large set of people would result to different answers making the decision much harder.. by my observation usually if i gave a really cheap one people would go by it and wouldn't even bother to look at the list... eliminating input by everyone... what you do is to find something that is cheap and also do consider the transportation cost and food cost.. submit an estimated maximum cost and full time chart of plans.. with allowances on time(considering unplanned blockages like road blocks, traffic, no vacancy meaning we need to look for another place to stay therefore the planned time for activities will be moved) and cost(a really awesome souvenir, some night life, medical emergency like LBM and motion sickness).. consider the possibilities so our/your trip will be smooth sailing and stress free for the party coming.. plan a code red, blue, yellow and white... red having time moved by more than 3hrs due to unexpected circumstances including accidents and instances that our unavoidable. blue limits it to maximum 1hr delay this includes mostly transportation delays like late bus schedules, yellow a few minutes like people being late from the planned time.. and lastly white which is a stress free hassle free trip with NO delays whatsoever.. do make a list quickly... you have 11 days to do that and 5 days to convince us, 3 days to smooth out everything and lastly 2 days get ready... im serious though.. its quite hard considering i really have a full schedule so i want everything to be perfectly planned.. i do the laundry on a sunday and i have my pre planned time on a saturday.. i also have the forced sisterly bonding time on a sunday/monday..
to all: well for one ill go if its all straighten up.. i have to do some stuffs after the trip if ever... its a sunday afternoon afterall..

Oh my...
Tension building up...
Anyways... on the lighter side of things... i would most likely join this trip. Goddamm i need some break. Been very busy... so i really can use this vaccation. Besides.. it's Febuary... and it's Baguio... so it'll be cold... very nice way to escape the city's scorching heat.
And more importantly: I NEED NEW CLOTHES!!! Hahahahaha... hopefully marami akong mabili sa Baguio.
Yeah.. ;D

;Dmada mada ;D im not sure what's so hard with the get on a bus and go to baguio. you guys have 2 promdis with you who are experienced travelers. Okay these are the facts Baguio - min 7 hrs min/ 8hr max trip from Manila. Ticket costs around 420-490Php Transients costs 200-350 Php/day/head (eto pinakamura) Leo: I know there are things out there that we dont expect. Chill lang tol, Usually the trips I plan are not perfect but I make up for the lapses.hehe I let you see the list of transients in Baguio becuase I want you to be aware of the prices and all. I don't really expect everyone to read every details of it I agree about the no vacancy stuff that is why I need to know the ones who will be confirming the stay as to reserve space as soon as possible. ahihi.. in my perspective.. its really just about getting on a bus and exploring baguio. hahaha Marvin! TAMA TAMA.. AT shopping! wohooo..!

whats hard about it is the complexity of things we haven't calculated.. something like simply riding a bus and going somewhere with little to no plan at all is hard to imagine. specially you want to go there at a tourist peak time. Commodities prices would be so high it would be radically unacceptable to the peasant's cost of living. If you're to go on a time that people in Baguio don't think tourist would come then a plan less activity is feasible.. example would be the ber months which people would generally go to the hot spots of the country then at that time lodging and souvenir would be cheap..
do consider that not all have a big salary therefore budget is tight..
